Digital Print

This Section contains images that I have generated using Photoshop and 3D modelling software.

Catalogue 2001-2004

These images were some of the first I created using Photoshop they were constructed using some very old drawings I had from my degree. Using Photoshop I dissected, manipulated and replicated the drawings, to create images based on symmetry and complexity. I have always been interested in the portrayal of the circle through history and its significance in religion such as Tibetan Buddhist Mandalas and its use in scientific images, charts and maps. Other parts of the prints are made up of textures, constructed metal forms, ceramic elements, photographs and digital 3D forms.

Catalogue 2004-Present
For this body of work I used similar influences such as diagrams and scientific illustrations.  I wanted to focus on introducing different ideas such as stylised figurative illustrations. Using the original circular illustrations as a background layer, I then utilised different imagery in a composition that connects the figurative elements as if they were interrelated as a series psychological apparitions.
My most recent work focuses on climate cycles, particularly weather and the symbolism used to communicate non-visual elements such as wind. These concepts are situated within a translucent landscape that oscillates between the subtle layers within the image. This layering effect allows for a movement through the piece using directional arrows in a vortex towards the other elements.  This cycle of formation and distortion mirrors the shifting state of the natural elements themselves. This pieces are exhibited as a digital print on canvas and range from 80cm x 56 cm to 200cm x 46cm the cost ranges from £500 to £1500.
